A serious house fire on Church Field in Sevenoaks on Thursday evening, 26 December, required the response of six fire engines and a height vehicle. Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus battled the blaze using hose reel jets and main jets.

While the cause of the fire remains under investigation, there were no reported injuries.

Earlier, residents in the vicinity of Church Field were advised to close their windows and doors as a precautionary measure. However, this advice has since been lifted.

Crews made substantial progress overnight, and only one fire engine remained at the scene to dampen down any remaining hotspots.
