A balaclava, angle grinder and bolt croppers have been seized by police who arrested a suspect within minutes of a burglary in Maidstone.
Patrols were called to suspicious activity in Lambert Drive just before 1am on Monday 6 January 2025, where damage had been caused to an entrance of a bike storage container.
Constables searched nearby areas, and quickly stopped a 17-year-old boy in Sutton Road. A balaclava was seized from his pocket, and he was also carrying a rucksack which contained several tools. The suspect was detained in connection with offences including burglary and going equipped for theft. He is currently bailed with conditions pending, further enquiries.
