Detectives investigating the robbery of a delivery driver in Gravesend have charged a suspect.

The incident occurred on November 30th, 2024, when a woman delivering a parcel in Ingoldsby Road returned to her parked van. She was then allegedly pulled from the vehicle, and a man attempted to drive away but when the van failed to start, the victim seized the keys and fled to a nearby property.

The suspect reportedly stole several parcels before fleeing the scene on foot.

Following an investigation, a Gravesend man was arrested on Wednesday, January 8th, 2025 and was subsequently charged with robbery, driving while disqualified, and driving without insurance. He was remanded in custody and appeared before Medway Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, January 9th.
