Kent Police report a woman has been charged with attempted murder following an alleged knife assault in Dover on Friday 17 January 2025.
It is reported the victim, a woman in her 50s, was attacked as she was walking along Biggin Street at around 10.10pm that evening. Security staff at a nearby pub intervened to restrain the suspect until police arrived. Officers were quickly at the scene and a woman was arrested and taken into custody.
The victim was treated at hospital for injuries to her back and has now been discharged. The suspect was unknown to her.
On Saturday 18 January, a woman from Dover was charged with attempted murder and threatening a person with an offensive weapon in a public place. The 47-year-old was remanded in custody to appear at an initial hearing before Folkestone Magistrates’ Court on Monday 20 January.
