Teenage boys charged over serious assault in Sittingbourne

Kent Police responded to a report of an assault at an address in Murston shortly before 9:00 PM on 16 January 2025 in which a 16-year-old boy was found with an injury consistent with a stab wound and was transported to a local hospital by the South East Coast Ambulance Service.

His injuries were not considered life-threatening, and he was later discharged.

An investigation revealed that a group of individuals arrived at the scene in a car before leaving.

On Friday, January 17th, police made arrests in connection with the incident and on Saturday, January 18th, a 17-year-old boy was charged with wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm and possession of a bladed article. He was remanded in custody and will appear before Maidstone Crown Court on February 14th.

A second 17-year-old boy was also charged with the same offences. He was granted bail with conditions and is also scheduled to appear before Maidstone Crown Court on February 14th.
