Kent Police report a significant amount of cocaine and a substantial sum of cash were seized following a police stop near Maidstone on Monday evening, January 20th, when officers stopped a BMW on Tonbridge Road in connection with suspected criminal activity.

The driver was detained and initial searches revealed a small quantity of drugs and over £2,000 in cash. Further investigation led officers to a dwelling in West Malling, where a search uncovered two large blocks of cocaine in a bedroom. An additional £19,000 in cash was also recovered.

A 43-year-old man from West Malling was arrested and subsequently charged with possession of cocaine with intent to supply and possession of criminal property. He appeared before Sevenoaks Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, January 22nd, and was remanded in custody. The individual is scheduled to appear at Maidstone Crown Court on February 20th for the next stage of legal proceedings.

The incident highlights the ongoing efforts of law enforcement to combat drug trafficking and related criminal activity within the region.
