Four people have been charged following an investigation into a series of vehicle thefts across Kent. The cars were stolen overnight from homes in Medway, Swale, Maidstone, and Ashford between December 4, 2024, and January 24, 2025.

Detectives utilized Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) and CCTV footage as part of their investigation.

On January 24th, at approximately 3:30 a.m., police were alerted to an attempted car theft in Ashford. Officers located a suspicious vehicle on the A20 and arrested its three occupants at a nearby service station. A fourth suspect was later apprehended in Gillingham.

Four men, aged 54, 19, 24, and 55, have been charged with conspiracy to steal motor vehicles. They appeared in Medway Magistrates’ Court on January 27th and were remanded to Maidstone Crown Court for a hearing on February 24th.
