Six members of a sophisticated drug ring operating between Swindon and West Kent have been sentenced to a total of 20 years in prison. The network, which supplied cocaine to Tunbridge Wells and surrounding areas, was brought down following a routine stop and search in Tonbridge.

The investigation, which began in February 2024, uncovered a well-organized operation with intricate money laundering tactics. The gang, led by a Swindon resident, used burner phones and complex top-up schemes to avoid detection.

“This gang made around £7,000 a week,” said Detective Sergeant Rob Hemsley. “This equates to nearly £100,000 in profits over their 13-week operation.”

The court heard how the gang employed various methods to conceal their activities, including hiding drugs in light fixtures and even throwing them from windows during police raids.

The gang leader received the longest sentence, five years and nine months, while other members of the gang received sentences ranging from two years and seven months to three years and five months.
