A man has been charged following a serious assault on the A2 near Canterbury on Saturday, December 14, 2024. Emergency services responded to the incident on the London-bound carriageway near the Wincheap A28 exit around 5:40 am.
Reports indicate the occupants of one car were assaulted by individuals in another vehicle. Two men were hospitalized, one with serious injuries requiring ongoing treatment.
Following an investigation, two men were arrested in north London on Tuesday, January 28, 2025. A 28-year-old man from Burnt Oak, north London, has been charged with attempted murder, causing grievous bodily harm with intent, and two counts of possession of an offensive weapon, specifically a wooden bat and an axe.
He is scheduled to appear at Folkestone Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, January 30. A 27-year-old man also arrested in connection with the incident has been released on bail.
