A suspected thief has been swiftly apprehended in Medway after a late-night raid on a block of flats, bringing relief to residents who feared their precious parcels had vanished.
Kent Police swooped on the apartment block near Maritime Way in Chatham at 10:23 pm on Tuesday, February 4th, 2025, following reports of a burglary in progress. A search of the premises unearthed two parcels and officers detained a man in his 30s from Bethnal Green in London.
Detectives believe several packages left in communal areas had been ripped open and their contents pilfered. The suspect has been released on bail while the investigation continues, leaving residents wondering what treasures were nearly lost.
