Kent Police received a report of a suspicious vehicle, a Fiat 500, in the Station Road area of Northfleet shortly before 11am on Saturday, February 8, 2025. Further investigation revealed the car had been reported stolen from Bexley. Officers quickly tracked the vehicle to Rose Street in Northfleet and recovered it.
An arrest was made the following day, Sunday, February 9th which led to a 19-year-old man from Northfleet charged with theft of a motor vehicle. He was also charged with shoplifting and handling a stolen vehicle in connection with two separate, unrelated incidents.
The suspect appeared before Maidstone Magistrates’ Court on Monday, February 10th and was remanded in custody. He is due to appear at Woolwich Crown Court on Monday, March 10th.
