Kent Police are investigating a fatal collision that occurred on the M20 coastbound between junctions eight and nine on Friday, February 14, 2025, at approximately 10:19 pm.
A blue Kia Carens travelling coastbound stopped on the hard shoulder. The 71-year-old male driver exited the vehicle and was subsequently struck by an Iveco box van. He was pronounced dead at the scene. His next of kin have been notified. A female passenger in the Kia Carens sustained minor injuries.
The driver of the Iveco van is cooperating with the police investigation.
