In a heartbreaking incident near Ashford, an 84-year-old man has lost his life following a collision.
The tragic event occurred on Tuesday, February 18, 2025, at around 10:55 AM. A black Nissan Qashqai, traveling along Sandyhurst Lane, crossed the A20 towards Godinton Lane near Hothfield. It collided with a white Audi A3 heading towards Maidstone on the A20.
Both occupants of the Qashqai were rushed to the hospital. Sadly, the elderly driver succumbed to his injuries the following day. The driver of the Audi sustained injuries but they are not reported to be serious.
Kent Police’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit is conducting a thorough investigation and is appealing for any witnesses to come forward.
