Two men are facing investigation after an alleged attempted robbery targeting a cyclist in Cliftonville. Kent Police are appealing for witnesses following the incident on Ethelbert Road in the early hours of Saturday, February 22nd, 2025.

Officers were dispatched to the scene at 12:38 AM after reports of a disturbance. Upon arrival, they learned that two suspects had reportedly tried to steal a push bike from a male victim. Following a search of the vicinity, police apprehended a 36-year-old and a 29-year-old in connection with the alleged crime. Both have been released on bail pending further inquiries.

Detectives are now urging anyone who witnessed the attempted robbery, or who possesses relevant mobile phone, CCTV, or dashcam footage, to come forward.
