Residents in a Tonbridge area are being urged to exercise heightened vigilance following a series of burglaries targeting unoccupied homes on Tuesday evening. Authorities confirm that three properties along Whetsted Road were hit in quick succession, prompting an ongoing investigation.
Kent Police received multiple calls just before 9 PM on March 4, 2025, reporting break-ins at the addresses and preliminary investigations suggest two suspects forced entry through doors and windows, conducting what authorities describe as “messy searches” within each residence. Jewellery has been confirmed as the primary target of the thefts.
A police spokesperson said:
“We are actively pursuing all leads to identify and apprehend those responsible for these crimes.
“The impact of these burglaries on the community is significant, and we are committed to bringing the perpetrators to justice.”
Investigators are now appealing to the public for assistance. Anyone who may have witnessed suspicious activity in the Whetsted Road area around the time of the incidents is encouraged to come forward.
The spokesperson added:
“We are particularly interested in speaking with anyone who may have private CCTV footage or dashcam recordings from the vicinity on Tuesday evening.”
Anyone with information is urged to contact the west Kent appeals line at 01622 604100, quoting reference number 46/36870/25. Residents are reminded to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity to the police immediately.
