A suspected robbery gang was arrested following attempts to break into a storage area of a Sevenoaks phone shop.
The four suspects were detained on Friday, March 7, 2025, after police responded to reports of suspicious activity on Sevenoaks High Street. The incident began around 4:30 PM when three individuals, wearing balaclavas, allegedly attempted to force entry into the stock room of a Vodafone store. Their efforts were unsuccessful, and they fled empty-handed, driving off in a blue Ford Focus which was parked nearby.
Swift action by local patrols led to the vehicle’s registration being relayed to surrounding police forces and within 40 minutes, the car, containing all four suspects, was intercepted and stopped near Welling, South London, with the assistance of the Metropolitan Police.
Three of the arrested individuals are teenage boys, who together with a 29-year-old man from Rickmansworth, Hertfordshire, was also arrested. All four were detained on suspicion of robbery and are currently bailed with conditions, pending further investigation.
Detectives are urgently seeking witnesses who may have information to aid their investigation. This includes businesses and residents with CCTV and doorbell camera footage, as well as drivers with dashcam recordings. Officers are particularly interested in obtaining footage showing the suspects’ movements between 4:20pm and 4:40pm in the Beech Road, London Road, and High Street areas of Sevenoaks.
