A Margate resident has been charged with attempted murder following a serious assault that left a man in his 40s with critical head injuries. The incident occurred on the morning of Sunday, March 9th, 2025, at a property on Ethelbert Crescent, prompting a swift response from emergency services.

Police discovered the injured man, who was subsequently rushed to hospital where he remains in a serious but stable condition. Detectives initiated an immediate investigation at the scene, leading to the arrest of four local men on suspicion of assault.

A 21-year-old man has since been charged with attempted murder in connection with the incident. He appeared before Folkestone Magistrates’ Court on Friday, March 14th, and was remanded in custody. He is scheduled to appear at Canterbury Crown Court on Friday, April 11th.

Three other individuals, aged 21, 35 and 47, who were also arrested, have been released on bail pending further inquiries. Detectives are now appealing to the public for any information that could assist their ongoing investigation.
