Two men have been arrested following a Kent Police investigation into drug supply within the Swale area, with officers recovering cocaine, cannabis, a significant quantity of cash, and a “zombie-style” knife.

Detectives, acting on information gathered from a mobile phone number linked to local drug users since November 2024, searched a Faversham address on Wednesday, March 19, 2025. The raid resulted in the immediate detention of one male suspect and the subsequent search of the property yielded quantities of class A and B drugs, a large sum of cash, and the prohibited weapon.

Further inquiries led to the arrest of a second man in Sittingbourne shortly after.

One person has been charged with being concerned in the supply of class A and class B drugs, while the other faces charges of possession of a prohibited knife and possession of criminal property. Both individuals appeared before Medway magistrates on Thursday, March 20, 2025, and were subsequently bailed to Maidstone Crown Court for a hearing scheduled on April 18, 2025.

The discovery of the “zombie-style” knife has raised concerns regarding the potential for heightened violence associated with drug-related activity in the region.
