Does this bike belong to you? Image Kent Police
Kent Police are appealing to the public for assistance in identifying the owner of a distinctive high-performance bicycle, recovered from suspected thieves in Tunbridge Wells last month.
The bicycle was seized during proactive patrols on Vale Road at approximately 10 pm on February 21st, 2025. Officers apprehended two men, an 18-year-old from Peckham and a 19-year-old from Orpington, who were seen walking in the area.
The pair were arrested at the scene on suspicion of theft and going equipped for theft. They have since been released on bail while police continue their investigations.
In an effort to reunite the bicycle with its rightful owner, police have released an image, shown above, of the recovered bike. They are now urging anyone who recognises it to come forward.
“We believe this bicycle was stolen, and we are keen to return it to its owner,” said a spokesperson for Kent Police. “We are asking anyone who believes the bike belongs to them to contact us.”
To claim the bicycle, individuals will be required to provide proof of purchase, the bike’s serial number, and/or details of any unique identifying features. Anyone with information is urged to call the west Kent appeals line on 01622 604100, quoting reference 46/30596/25.
