Two men have been charged with drug offences and assault on emergency workers following a police operation in Northfleet. Officers seized a quantity of drugs and related paraphernalia after responding to reports of suspicious activity in the Fountain Walk area.
Kent Police were dispatched to the scene at approximately 2pm on Wednesday, 26 March 2025, after receiving information from concerned members of the public. Upon arrival, officers engaged with individuals present at the location. During the subsequent investigation, a man was detained, and a search of the area was conducted. This search resulted in the recovery of cannabis, deal bags, cash, various drug-related paraphernalia, and suspected cocaine.
The situation escalated when a disturbance reportedly broke out, and several police officers were allegedly assaulted. Two men were arrested in connection with the incident and taken into custody for questioning.
Following the arrests, two men aged 24 and 26, were charged on Thursday, 27 March, with possession with intent to supply class A and B drugs, as well as assault on an emergency worker. Both suspects appeared before Sevenoaks magistrates on Friday, 28 March. They were remanded in custody and are scheduled to appear before Woolwich Crown Court on Friday, 25 April.
