Great News! Continued support and guidance for Folkestone & Hythe residents!

Residents can look forward to continued access to fantastic free, independent, and confidential advice thanks to an exciting new partnership.

Following the temporary adjustments after the closure of Citizens Advice (Shepway) in December 2024, the wonderful team at Citizens Advice (Dover, Deal and District) stepped in to provide seamless support. Now, Folkestone & Hythe District Council has announced a new agreement with Citizens Advice (Dover, Deal and District), ensuring this invaluable service will continue to brighten the lives of local residents.

Citizens Advice offers a helping hand with a wide array of topics, including benefits, housing, tackling discrimination, education, employment, health matters, managing finances, and navigating relationships. Their dedicated volunteers go the extra mile by connecting people with other helpful resources, assisting with important letters, and simplifying form completion.

A Folkestone & Hythe District Council spokesperson said:

“This is a valuable service and Citizens Advice (Dover, Deal & District) has assisted a great number of our residents since late last year on a variety of problems and issues.

“We are pleased to support the project and ensure it is there for those who need impartial information without judgement.”

Advisers are available to be contacted by calling 01304 353861, visiting doverdealadvice.co.uk or by attending the Rainbow Centre, Folkestone (CT20 2AF) on Thursdays between 10am and 3pm.

A new website for residents in Folkestone & Hythe is to be developed soon.
