A 30-year-old man has been arrested following reports of a disturbance in a Tunbridge Wells street where a knife was allegedly brandished.

Police were alerted to the incident on Dorking Road at approximately 7:37 pm on Friday 11th April. It was reported that a man armed with a kitchen knife had made threats towards several members of the public.

The suspect reportedly left the scene, prompting an immediate search by responding officers, which included the deployment of a police helicopter help locate him. Later, at around 10:40 pm, a further disturbance believed to be linked to the same suspect was reported outside a property on Quarry Hill Road in Tonbridge. Police continued their search efforts in areas near Vauxhall Lane.

The search concluded at approximately 12:50 am on Saturday, April 12th, with the arrest of a 30-year-old man. The suspect was initially taken to a local hospital to receive treatment for injuries sustained before being taken into police custody.
