Hold onto your hats! Prepare for a weekend where fantasy becomes reality as the inaugural Hawkinge Comic Con descends upon the town, promising an electrifying collision of celebrity stardust, mind-blowing cosplay creations, and enough pop culture power to shake the very foundations of the Hawkinge Community Centre!

Forget far-flung conventions, the force lands in Kent next month as Hawkinge Comic Con unveils a star-studded two-day event on May 17th and 18th. Star Wars luminaries, including Boba Fett stuntman Dickey Beer, prop maker Michael Whiteley (bringing a life-size Tauntaun), and Nien Nunb puppeteer Mike Quinn, headline the show.

They’ll be joined by Stormtrooper actors Dmitriy Karas, Chris Bunn, and Alan Swanden, alongside Sonic artist Duncan Gutteridge and 80s pop sensation Dene Michael of Black Lace. Bigfoot researcher Daniel Lee Barnett will also share his findings.

Adding to the excitement, cosplay groups will showcase detailed costumes and props while fundraising for Great Ormond Street Hospital. A cosplay competition for all ages takes place at 2 pm each day, with prizes up for grabs.

The event will take place between 10am and 4.30pm both days and tickets cost £8.30 for daily general admission, £3.96 for under 16s daily admission and £11.55 for weekend admission. Find full ticketing details here.
