Kent Police are appealing for witnesses after a man walking his dog was reportedly assaulted in Maidstone earlier this month.

The incident occurred at approximately 6:30 pm on Wednesday, April 2nd, 2025. The victim reported being followed along Spot Lane by an unidentified man who was allegedly shouting, swearing, and attempting to trip him.

The pursuit continued for around half a mile, culminating in an attack on Tower Lane where the victim was pushed to the ground and subsequently kicked in the face.

Following the assault, the injured man sought treatment at a local hospital.

Police have described the suspect as a white male, approximately 5ft 10in tall, aged between 40 and 45 years old, and of a large build with facial stubble. He was reportedly wearing a grey t-shirt with what appeared to be cement or plaster dust on it, along with grey tracksuit bottoms and boots.
