Detectives are appealing for witnesses following a suspected serious assault in Rochester High Street that left a man in his 20s with a head injury in hospital.
The incident is believed to have occurred sometime between 8 pm on Friday, April 11th, and 3 am on Saturday, April 12th, 2025. Officers are currently working to establish the full circumstances surrounding the assault and pinpoint the precise location within the High Street area where it took place. The victim remains in hospital receiving treatment for his injuries.
PC Evie Cousins of Kent Police urged the public to come forward, saying:
“We are urging anybody who was in Rochester during the evening of Friday 11 April and into the early hours of Saturday 12 April, and saw a man being assaulted to call our appeal line.”
She also appealed to motorists and residents, adding:
“Motorists with dashcam and residents with private CCTV are also asked to contact us if they have relevant footage that may assist with our investigation.”
