Fiesta driver seriously injured after Police pursuit

Kent Police Investigating officers are appealing for witnesses, CCTV, and dashcam footage after a serious collision on Westerham Road in Riverhead. The incident occurred just before 8:30 pm on Saturday, April 19, 2025, near the junction with Larkfield Road when a silver Ford Fiesta collided with a black Land Rover Defender.

Paramedics from the South East Coast Ambulance Service arrived at the scene, and the male driver of the Ford Fiesta was transported to a London hospital with serious injuries.

Kent Police have confirmed that the silver Ford Fiesta was involved in a police pursuit prior to the collision and in line with standard procedure, a mandatory referral has been made to the Independent Office for Police Conduct.

Investigating officers are now seeking witnesses to the incident.
