A man has been charged in connection with a robbery in Maidstone where two victims were allegedly threatened with stabbing. The incident reportedly occurred around 10:30 PM on Wednesday, April 23rd, 2025, in Lower Stone Street.
It is alleged that the victims were approached by two individuals who demanded they withdraw money from a nearby cash machine, threatening them with a knife. Cash was reportedly stolen before the suspects left.
Following an investigation, a 42-year-old man was arrested on Sunday, April 27th, and subsequently charged with two counts of robbery. He appeared in court on Tuesday, April 29th, and has been remanded in custody with his next hearing scheduled for May 27th at Maidstone Crown Court.
