This initiative aims to help people onto the property ladder and increases the council’s affordable housing stock, building on the 80+ homes recently delivered with another 60 planned.

Shared ownership allows buyers to purchase a share and pay rent on the rest, requiring a smaller deposit. Affordable rent is capped at 80% of the market rate. The council is committed to providing various housing options for the community.
