Detectives are appealing to the public for information following a burglary in Canterbury at around 9.40pm on Monday 21 April during which ‘merchandise’ was stolen.

The incident, the details of which are currently limited, has prompted an active investigation by local police.

Investigators are urging anyone who may have witnessed any suspicious activity in the area or who possesses any information related to the burglary to come forward.

A police spokesperson stated:

“We believe there may be individuals who saw something relevant to this incident, and their accounts could be crucial to our investigation. No matter how insignificant it may seem, we urge anyone with information to contact us.”

Authorities have said the burglary took place on St Margaret’s Street, Canterbury but have not as yet disclosed the nature or value of the stolen merchandise.

Witnesses to the burglary should contact Kent Police on 01843 222289 quoting 46/66373/25. Anyone who saw or heard anything suspicious in the area, or who has private CCTV or doorbell footage which might assist, is also urged to come forward.
