Deal’s revamped Travers Road play area is now open, featuring new jungle-themed equipment, a basket swing, and a roundabout, thanks to a £34k developer contribution. This follows news of £180k renovations across three Dover District play areas.
Marke Wood in Walmer and The Bulwarks in Sandwich are also set to open soon with new equipment, including inclusive options, funded by DDC, town councils, and developer/utility contributions, based on community feedback. Marke Wood received £88k for junior/toddler units, a track rider, and sensory items, while The Bulwarks got over £58k for a junior multiplay, basket swing, and inclusive seesaw.
