A heartfelt appeal is going out across Kent this Foster Care Fortnight (May 12th – 25th) as Kent County Council and Kent Fostering champion the incredible work of foster carers and urgently call for more individuals to step forward.

Joining a nationwide effort, Kent Fostering is spending the next two weeks celebrating the life-changing impact fostering has on young people and expressing profound gratitude for the dedicated individuals who already provide this vital support.

This year’s poignant theme, “The Power of Relationships,” shines a light on the fundamental connections forged within foster care. These bonds, built on trust and care, are instrumental in helping children and young people, many of whom have faced significant challenges, to heal, grow, and flourish.

Foster carers in Kent offer more than just a roof over a child’s head; they provide safe, stable, and nurturing environments where young people can rebuild trust, gain confidence, and thrive in their education and overall wellbeing.

Kent Fostering encourages anyone who has ever considered fostering to find out more this Foster Care Fortnight. Your compassion and commitment could unlock a brighter future for a vulnerable child in your community.
