Two men have been charged in connection with a serious assault on a woman in Gillingham last month.
Police have charged two individuals following an incident on Seaview Road where a woman was allegedly attacked. Kent Police responded to reports of an assault shortly after 7 pm on Wednesday, April 23, 2025.
Initial reports indicated that a woman walking towards Gillingham Road was approached by a man who allegedly pulled her into an alleyway. The victim was then reportedly punched and kicked before the suspect was believed to have left the area in a vehicle.
Residents in the vicinity assisted the injured woman, who had sustained facial and leg injuries. She was taken to a local hospital and has since been discharged but continues to receive treatment.
Following an investigation, officers arrested two men on Wednesday, May 21st and the following day, two men, aged 26 and 28, from Dagenham and Broxbourne were charged with causing grievous bodily harm with intent. Both individuals were remanded in custody and scheduled to appear before Medway Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, May 22nd.
