Emergency services rushed to Dymchurch Road in New Romney this evening following reports of a two-car collision with one individual trapped.

Kent Fire and Rescue Service received the call at 18:33 BST and dispatched two fire engines to the scene in the Folkestone and Hythe area. Firefighters utilized specialist rescue equipment, including hydraulic cutting tools and spreaders, to extricate the trapped person from their vehicle.

The individual was then passed into the care of paramedics from the South East Coast Ambulance Service (SECAmb). Kent Police also attended the incident.

The cause of the road traffic collision remains unknown at this time.
