Kent Police are urging witnesses to come forward following a collision near Ebbsfleet Valley that left two cyclists hospitalised.

Kent Police received a report that, at around 12.25pm on Saturday 26 April 2025, a red Audi A1 left the eastbound carriageway of the A2 Watling Street and collided with railings at a roundabout where it meets the A2260. A second car, believed to be a BMW and alleged to have been involved in the incident, left the scene.

Two cyclists, travelling on the path next to the road, were injured. A man sustained serious injuries to his foot and was taken to a London hospital, and a teenage boy was treated locally. Both have since been discharged to continue their recovery.

Officers attended and enquiries were completed at the scene. A 23-year-old woman from Swanscombe was arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving. She has since been bailed pending further enquiries.

The investigation is continuing, and officers are appealing for any witnesses who may have seen what happened during or prior to the incident, and who have not yet spoken to police, to come forward. Anyone with information, including dashcam footage, should contact Kent Police on 01474 366149, quoting reference 46/69143/25.
