Police are appealing for witnesses after a valuable bronze owl statue was stolen from a high-street art gallery in Deal in the early hours of Thursday, June 5, 2025.

The theft occurred just after midnight on Thursday 5th June 2025 at the Taylor-Jones & Son art gallery on Deal High Street. The distinctive statue, depicting an owl, is estimated to be worth several thousands of pounds.
Investigators are urging anyone who may have seen anything suspicious around the gallery at that time, or who has any information regarding the statue’s whereabouts, to come forward. Anyone with information regarding the theft should call Kent Police on 01843 222289 quoting 46/94356/25. Anyone who saw or heard anything suspicious in the area, or who has private CCTV or doorbell footage which might assist, is also urged to come forward.
