Folkestone Magistrates’ Court

A man has appeared in court following an alleged knife assault in Chatham. The incident, which left a man in his 30s with face and neck injuries, occurred on Meadowbank Road during the early evening of Friday, May 9, 2025.

Authorities allege the victim was involved in a verbal dispute with an unknown individual before being attacked with a knife. The assailant then fled the scene, while the victim sought medical attention at a local hospital.

An investigation was launched, which included reviewing CCTV footage from the area. This led to an arrest on Wednesday, June 4. A 48-year-old suspect, who has been charged with wounding with intent, appeared before Folkestone Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, June 5. He has been remanded into custody until a hearing at Maidstone Crown Court on July 4.
