Police are appealing to the public for help in identifying the rightful owner of a bicycle recovered after a suspected theft at Rochester railway station.

On the evening of Tuesday, June 10, 2025, at approximately 8:40 PM, a man was observed attempting to remove several bicycles from racks located outside Rochester railway station. He subsequently rode off on one of the bikes. While a suspect has been apprehended and charged, the bicycle’s owner has not yet been identified.

The accused appeared before magistrates on Thursday, June 12, where he denied both charges. He is scheduled to appear next at Medway Magistrates’ Court on Friday, August 8.

Authorities are urging anyone who believes the stolen bicycle, visible in CCTV images, belongs to them to come forward. Please contact the appeal line at 01634 792209, quoting reference 46/89755/25.
