Police have released CCTV images in connection with a serious assault on a Dartford bus that left a man with a deep bite wound to his finger. Detectives are appealing to the public for help identifying a man they believe may be able to assist their ongoing investigation.

The incident occurred at approximately 11:30 AM on Tuesday, February 4, 2025. A man in his twenties was waiting at a bus stop on Tennyson Road when he was reportedly attacked by another man who had just got off a bus.

The assailant is alleged to have punched and scratched the victim before the altercation continued onto the bus itself. It was on the vehicle that the attacker reportedly bit the victim’s finger, causing a severe laceration that cut down to the tendon. The suspect then fled the scene, walking away along Dickens Avenue.

Since the assault, officers have pursued numerous lines of inquiry, including extensive house-to-house investigations and a thorough review of all available CCTV footage. They are now turning to the public to help identify a man captured in images shown above, who may hold vital information.
