Suspected Road Rage Incident on Sheppey Leads to Arrest: Police Seek Witnesses

Kent Police are appealing for witnesses and dashcam footage after a heated dispute between two drivers on Monday, June 9, 2025, culminated in an alleged threat and a subsequent arrest.

The incident, involving a white Ford Transit van and a black Audi TT, began at a roundabout connecting Lower Road and Rowletts Way shortly after midday.

According to police reports, the altercation escalated when the Ford Transit van stopped in Eastchurch High Street. It is alleged that the Audi TT then pulled to a halt in front of the van, at which point its driver got out the vehicle and threatened the other motorist.

The Audi driver subsequently left the scene. However, a 53-year-old local man was later arrested in connection with the incident. He has since been bailed and is awaiting further enquiries at the police station.

Officers are urging anyone who witnessed the incident, or motorists with relevant dashcam footage, to come forward.
