The Met Office is warning that Kent is set to experience widespread thunderstorms on Sunday, 6th July, bringing a risk of heavy downpours, lightning, and hail. The storms will develop in the west of the region before moving eastward during the morning.

Residents should expect 15-25mm of rain across many areas, much of it falling intensely over two to three hours. Some locations could see up to 40-60mm if multiple storms pass over.

This significant rainfall raises concerns about localized flash flooding and potential travel difficulties.
