A 56-year-old cyclist has died after an incident in Lower Haysden Lane on Sunday morning, with police now appealing for witnesses and dashcam footage.

Emergency services were called shortly after 10:40am on Sunday, July 6, 2025, to reports of a man having fallen from his bicycle. The incident occurred on Lower Haysden Lane, between Haysden Country Park and Brook Street.

Officers and ambulance crews attended the scene, and the cyclist was later pronounced dead at the hospital. His next of kin have been informed.

The Serious Collision Investigation Unit is conducting inquiries into the fatal incident. Authorities are urging motorists who were in the Haysden area at the time to review any dashcam footage that may assist the investigation. Of particular interest is any footage showing a man on a green and black bicycle.
