Kent Police are appealing for urgent dashcam and CCTV footage following a serious collision in Rochester on Tuesday, July 8, 2025, which left a motorcyclist in critical condition.
Officers were called to Watling Street, Strood, between the junctions of Chapter Road and Woodstock Road, where a black Yamaha motorcycle and a blue Smart car collided. The motorcycle was reportedly travelling from the town centre towards Gravesend at the time of the incident. Emergency services, including paramedics, attended the scene. The motorcyclist, a man in his 30s, sustained serious injuries and was transported to a London hospital, where he remains in a serious but stable condition.
Investigators are urging motorists with dashcam who were in the area between 11.25pm and 11.50pm that night, and residents with private CCTV, to check for relevant footage. They would also like to hear from anybody who saw a white BMW X5 that was allegedly travelling in the same direction as the motorcycle at the time of the collision.
