Police are appealing to residents in several roads near Rusthall to check CCTV and doorbell camera footage after a man exposed himself to a woman and child on Thursday, July 24, 2025.

The distressing incident occurred around 2:05 PM in a wooded area of Happy Valley, near St Paul’s Church and the A264 Langton Road. The woman was walking with her child when they encountered the offender with his trousers removed. Kent Police have launched an extensive investigation to identify the suspect, described as a white man of slim build, possibly in his 40s. He was reportedly wearing a black t-shirt and a light-coloured baseball cap. Officers are particularly keen to review any camera footage from homes in areas the suspect may have passed through, including Nevill Park, Nevill Court, The Midway, and Tea Garden Lane.

Detective Inspector Chris Mayers emphasized the gravity of the incident, stating,

“This was a deeply distressing incident for the victim and her young child, and we are treating it with the utmost seriousness.”

He urged anyone who may have seen a man acting suspiciously in the area to come forward, adding,

“Your information, no matter how small it may seem, could be vital to our investigation.”
