Drugs and Weapons Haul Discovered in Deal Property

A substantial quantity of drugs and an array of weapons were seized from a property in Deal following a police call-out in the early hours of Tuesday, July 29.

Officers responded to an alert at approximately 3:36am on Swift Crescent after a concerned member of the public reported unusual activity. Upon arrival, police observed movement inside the address but received no response at the door. When a man was seen attempting to exit the building through a window, officers forced entry. A subsequent search of the property led to the discovery of more than 30 items. Among the seized weapons were a machete, several serrated knives, and a hammer. Investigators also found a significant amount of cling film and scales, typically associated with drug packaging and distribution. White powder was located in various rooms, alongside individual wraps of suspected Class A and Class B drugs.

A man in his 30s was arrested at the scene on suspicion of possessing Class A and B drugs, involvement in the supply of Class A drugs, and possession of an offensive weapon. No other individuals were found inside the residence. He has since been released on bail as the investigation continues.
