Detectives in Kent have launched a full investigation following the death of a man in Sittingbourne town centre on Saturday evening, August 2, 2025. Authorities are working to piece together the events that led to the fatal incident.

Kent Police were alerted shortly after 9:30 pm to St Michael’s Road, near the junction with Dover Street, following reports of a collision. Initial information suggests the incident involved a car and a man who had fallen from a wall. Emergency services, including police officers and paramedics, swiftly attended the scene but despite their efforts, a man in his 30s was pronounced deceased. His next of kin has been informed. The area was temporarily cordoned off as initial enquiries were conducted at the scene.

An ongoing investigation is now underway to establish the full circumstances surrounding the man’s death. Detectives are appealing to the public for assistance, urging anyone who may possess CCTV or dashcam footage of the incident, or the moments leading up to it, to come forward.
