Two suspects have been charged with murder in connection with the death of a man in Sittingbourne town centre. The charges follow a police investigation into an incident on Saturday, August 2, 2025, where a man in his 30s was killed. Kent Police responded to a report of a collision involving a pedestrian and a car on St Michael’s Road at approximately 9:30 pm.
Authorities reported that the pedestrian fell from a wall after being pursued, then was struck by a vehicle near the junction with Dover Street. The man was pronounced deceased at the scene, and his next of kin have been notified. The investigation led to the arrest of two individuals on August 4 and August 6. During the course of their inquiries, police also seized a quantity of cocaine.
On Thursday, August 7, one suspect, aged 33, and another, aged 43, were charged with murder. The 43-year-old suspect also faces an additional charge of possession with intent to supply cocaine. Both individuals were held in custody and were scheduled to appear in court on Thursday, August 7. The investigation remains ongoing.
