Heartfelt banner messages near the seafront – Photo and words by Ray Duff

A third protest was held in Folkestone on Friday evening to raise awareness about the humanitarian crisis in Gaza. The demonstration, which took place near Folkestone Harbour, was a prelude to a larger protest scheduled for London on Saturday.

Attendees carried flags and homemade banners, making their presence known by clanging pots and pans. Many passing vehicles showed their support by honking their horns. The protest was met with a small counter-protest. However, a police presence ensured the event remained peaceful and no issues arose.
