A 20-year-old man has been arrested in connection with a serious assault in Margate early Saturday morning that left a man in his 40s with an injury consistent with a stab wound.

Kent Police responded to a report of the incident on Northdown Road, near the intersection of Ethelbert Road, shortly after 3am. The victim was treated at the scene by the South East Coast Ambulance Service before being taken to a London hospital. He is currently in a serious but stable condition. The suspect, a man from Thanet, was taken into custody following the arrest. Authorities are continuing their investigation by examining CCTV footage and conducting a forensic analysis of the scene.
