A man from Sittingbourne has been sentenced to more than 12 years in prison for sexually abusing and grooming young teenage girls. Bradley Kite, 42, from the town, pleaded guilty to multiple offences at Maidstone Crown Court after an investigation by Kent Police.
The court heard that Kite manipulated one of his victims into believing he was her boyfriend, sending sexualized messages and giving her money and jewellery. He also took several girls shopping and bought them expensive presents before sexually assaulting them. The crimes were reported to police in June 2024 by a family member of one of the victims and Kite was arrested on June 27, 2024, and later charged. The investigation, led by specialist detectives, identified additional victims.
Kite admitted to thirteen offences, including multiple counts of sexual activity with a child and sexual assault. A jury also found him guilty of another sexual assault that he had denied. On Wednesday, August 6, 2025, Kite was sentenced to 12 years and nine months in prison. He must serve at least two-thirds of his sentence and will be subject to a five-year license period upon release. Additionally, a 25-year Sexual Harm Prevention Order (SHPO) was issued against him.
Detective Constable Daniel Alai praised the victims’ courage, stating,
“Kite is a dangerous offender who preyed on the vulnerability of young teenage girls. I’m pleased that he has received a lengthy sentence and that the SHPO will offer further protection. We will always listen sensitively to victims and will strive to bring sexual predators such as Kite before the courts to face justice.”
