A 20-year-old man has been charged with grievous bodily harm with intent following a knife assault in Edenbridge last week. The suspect, whose identity appeared in court on Monday, August 11, and was granted bail.
Police were called to a report of a fight on Station Road, opposite a petrol station, at approximately 4:20pm on Friday, August 8. A suspect was arrested at the scene. Authorities later located the victim, a man in his 20s, with a stab wound to the head. The victim was taken to a local hospital, where his injuries were determined to be non-life threatening.
According to police, the victim and the suspect were known to each other. The suspect was charged with causing grievous bodily harm with intent and appeared before Sevenoaks Magistrates’ Court. He has been bailed with conditions and is scheduled to appear at Maidstone Crown Court on September 8.
